Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an Aeronautical Engineer to lead durability and damage-tolerance analyses ensuring airframe life-cycle requirements are met. You will certify airframe structural integrity through fatigue and fracture analyses and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive program decisions.

The role requires a background in mechanical/aerospace engineering, proficiency in MATLAB/Python, and experience with CAD/CAE tools. U.S.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering (Civil Engineers also considered).
1 year of relevant experience OR a Master's Degree in the listed fields.
Experience with programming languages such as MATLAB, VBA, Visual Studio, or Python; CAD/CAE applications experience.

Responsibilities

Lead durability and damage-tolerance analyses for airframes.
Conduct fatigue and fracture analyses to certify airframe structural integrity.
Provide structural analysis data to support fleet life-cycle management.
Utilize crack initiation and growth tools for design sizing, drawing review, and reporting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate analysis results into program decisions.
