Job summary

Rebellion Fabrication in Elkhorn, Nebraska, seeks a Senior Structural Steel Estimator for an ownership-oriented role, focusing on complex steel estimates from concept to proposal. This onsite position requires close partnership with PMs, detailers, vendors, erectors, suppliers, and general contractors to ensure accurate, profitable bids.

You will help define scope, ask the right questions, and deliver estimates our operations teams can execute with confidence.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years estimating structural steel, miscellaneous metals, or commercial construction.
• Strong understanding of structural, architectural, and civil drawings.
• Experience with conceptual, negotiated, and hard-bid estimating.
• Bluebeam proficiency required.
• Experience with Tekla PowerFab, FabSuite, FabTrol, or similar fabrication software is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Construction Management or related degree preferred—but proven experience matters more than a diploma.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex structural steel and miscellaneous metals estimates from concept through proposal.
• Collaborate with project managers, detailers, vendors, erectors, suppliers, and general contractors to develop accurate estimates.
• Identify risks early, challenge assumptions, and build estimates our operations team can execute.
• Assist in determining pursuit decisions and profitability of projects.
• Continuously improve estimating processes as the company grows.
