Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior Structural Engineer to provide geographical leadership for the structural engineering team in Maryland. You will lead water and wastewater design projects, oversee condition assessments, and produce calculations, reports, and construction documents.

Manage junior staff and coordinate investigations, planning, and budgeted schedules. The role requires PE licensure, extensive experience in water/wastewater, and strong knowledge of codes (IBC/ACI).

Qualifications

• 15 years of structural engineering experience in water and wastewater.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Structural or Civil/Structural.
• Strong knowledge of building codes (IBC, ACI, etc.) and standards.
• Proficiency in relevant software and drafting tools.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• 15 years of structural engineering experience in Water / Wastewater
• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis)
• Professional Engineer (PE) License in Structural or Civil/Structural
• Strong structural analysis and design skills
• Proficiency in STAAD Pro and other structural software applications
• Excellent technical writing and editing abilities
• Experience in preparing, reviewing, and approving project drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/REVIT software
• Excellent working knowledge of building codes and standards (IBC, ACI, etc.)
