Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for our Milwaukee office. You will lead design and delivery of water and wastewater facilities, pump stations and conveyance systems, working with a network of engineers and experts in a hybrid work setting.

You will develop technical reports, calculations, drawings and specs, mentor teammates, and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to meet project goals and budgets. A PE license is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience as a structural engineer.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Extensive experience with municipal or industrial water and wastewater plants, pump stations, and conveyance systems.
• Heavy civil (dams/hydro) or industrial/mining experience is acceptable alternative.
• Construction phase support for listed project types.
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Strong ability to mentor and work independently while managing time and budget.
• Proficient with structural design/analysis software listed above and review tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of project technical reports, calculations, drawings and specifications.
• Design and deliver water and wastewater pump stations and treatment facilities.
• Lead/contribute to conveyance and storage systems projects.
• Collaborate with local and national experts across teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate multi-disciplinary work.
• Ensure adherence to time and budget constraints across projects.
