Job summary

Jacobs in Honolulu, HI is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead design and analysis for water and wastewater projects. You will develop technical reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications with support from local and national experts, and mentor junior engineers.

You will use structural software (STAAD.Pro, SAP2000) and office tools in a hybrid work environment, collaborating with a broad network of engineers to deliver safe, compliant facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience as a structural engineer.
• P.E. license required; S.E. license Hawaii or reciprocity within 6 months.
• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis; Masters preferred.
• 5+ years in municipal/industrial water and wastewater projects or related heavy civil/industrial experience.
• Experience leading multi-discipline teams and managing time/budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of project technical reports, calculations, drawings and specifications.
• Design and supervise structural aspects for water/wastewater facilities and pump stations.
• Collaborate with local and national experts across disciplines.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians.
• Support construction phase services and client communication.
