Job summary

Parametrix in the Pacific Northwest seeks a Structural Engineer with a strong water and wastewater background to lead and support structural design for treatment plants, pump stations, and related facilities. You will collaborate with civil, mechanical, and process engineers to develop plans, specifications, and calculations, while mentoring junior staff and supporting project management activities.

WA PE license or ability to obtain quickly is required; SE preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• WA PE license or ability to obtain quickly; SE preferred.
• 8+ years’ structural engineering experience in consulting.
• Experience with water/wastewater facilities and seismic design.
• Proficiency with structural analysis and design software.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design for water/wastewater facilities (treatment plants, pump/lift stations).
• Perform structural analysis per ACI, AISC, ASCE standards and develop docs.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
• Mentor junior staff and assist with scope, schedule, and budget tracking.
• Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and site visits.
