Job summary

Walter P Moore is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Construction Engineering team in a hybrid role. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in steel design, connection design, and erection sequencing analysis, and will serve clients on major projects across the United States and internationally.

The position requires strong teamwork, proactive client service, and the ability to work across multiple offices.

Qualifications

• 6-9 years’ experience in steel design, steel connection design and erection sequencing analysis
• Demonstrated career growth that includes supervision of junior staff
• Master’s in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural strongly preferred
• E. license within your residing state, or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months
• Experience with Tekla and Building Information Modeling (BIM) a plus
• SAP 2000 modeling experience required
• Candidates must be proactive, have strong organizational skill, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be client-service oriented

Responsibilities

• Lead structural steel design and detailing on projects across the United States and internationally
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and clients to meet project milestones
• Mentor junior engineers and support team growth
• Ensure quality and safety standards in design and execution
