Job summary

Walter P Moore seeks an Engineer to join our Construction Engineering team. The engineer will apply steel design, connection design, and structural analysis on major projects across the United States and internationally.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of relevant experience, a proactive attitude, and project management experience. A P.E. license and BIM/Tekla experience are highly valued, with a hybrid work model and periodic travel to offices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in steel design, steel connection design and structural analysis.
• Project management experience.
• Experience with contractors, steel fabricators or steel erectors preferred.
• Master's in Civil Engineering with emphasis in structural.
• P.E. license in your state or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience with Tekla and BIM is a plus.
• SAP 2000 modeling experience a plus.
• Proactive, organized, excellent written and verbal communication, client-service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze steel structures and connections.
• Manage projects and coordinate with architects, developers, institutions, and contractors.
• Operate within a hybrid firm model requiring occasional office access and travel.
• Provide proactive, responsive client service and problem-solving.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver major US and international projects.
