Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks an experienced Principal/Sr. Principal Structural Engineer to support the Sentinel Infrastructure Analysis Team in Utah.

You will analyze structural systems for the Minuteman III upgrade, evaluating metals and composites and ensuring compatibility with subsystems and flight test facilities. The role requires DoD Secret Clearance eligibility, strong collaboration with multi-discipline teams, and hands-on experience with dynamic analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent required.
• DoD Secret Clearance obtainable.
• Experience with structural dynamics analysis of spacecraft, aircraft, or missiles.
• Strong collaboration across adjacent disciplines in a highly integrated environment.
• Proficient in MATLAB for data manipulation.
• Experience with modal transient analysis in Nastran or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design structural components for missile/spacecraft systems.
• Perform dynamic analyses, loads, and fatigue assessments.
• Utilize CATIA, IDEAS, ProEngineer and related tools.
• Collaborate with systems engineering, aerodynamics, stress analysis, design, and test teams.
