Job summary
Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Roy, Utah, is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to support the Sentinel program. The role focuses on analyzing and developing structural specifications for metal, composite, and non-metal materials across product designs and operations.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science or STEM with 5+ years of experience, or Master’s with 3+ years, or PhD with 0 years.
- US Citizenship with active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain SAP.
- Experience running dynamic and static analysis.
- Proficiency in MATLAB for analysis and data manipulation.
- Ability to collaborate with adjacent disciplines in an integrated team.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and develop structural engineering specifications for metals, non-metallic, or composite materials.
- Assess damage tolerance, durability, design allowables, and perform structural modeling.
- Utilize tools such as CATIA, IDEAS, and ProEngineer for design and analysis.
