Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks a Structural Engineer to support the Sentinel Infrastructure Analysis Team, focusing on facilities and subsystems for the Minuteman III upgrade. You will analyze metals, composites, and structures, and collaborate with systems engineering, aerodynamics, and stress analysis teams to deliver robust designs.

The role requires US citizenship with a DoD Secret clearance, and expertise in MATLAB, Nastran/ modal analysis, and vibroacoustic methods.

Qualifications

• US citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance within 5 years.
• Strong knowledge of structures, statics, strength of materials, and structural dynamics.
• Proficient in MATLAB for analysis and data manipulation.
• Experience with modal transient analysis in Nastran or equivalent.
• Experience with vibroacoustic analysis and time/frequency domain analysis.
• Ability to collaborate across systems engineering, aerodynamics, stress analysis, and design teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze structural engineering specifications for metals, composites and structures.
• Assess damage tolerance, durability, and design allowables; develop structural models.
• Support design, test, and analysis across multiple disciplines in a highly integrated team.
