Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited program.
• 6+ years of relevant structural engineering experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.
• Motor Vehicle Records review may be required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Mid-to-Senior technical resource and QC owner for structural engineering deliverables.
• Lead structural design on mid-size projects and major tasks on large/complex projects.
• Direct and manage small teams of engineers and technicians (2–6 staff).
• Independently perform and review structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Perform quality control reviews of calculations and drawings prepared by others.
• Develop structural cost estimates and write technical specification sections.
• Lead or significantly contribute to interdisciplinary coordination and design reviews.
• Represent structural engineering in client meetings and presentations.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to Engineer I–III staff.
• Perform advanced seismic analysis and retrofit design (ASCE 41, performance-based approaches).
• Oversee construction administration activities including submittal reviews, RFIs, and site observations.
