Job summary

L3Harris is seeking a Senior Specialist, Structures Engineer for the RS-25 propulsion program, located at the Canoga Park facility in California. You will perform RS-25 component structural analysis for flight, test, and fabrication, delivering guidance and documentation for NCR dispositions.

The role requires a 6+ year background in mechanical/structural/aerospace engineering, with ANSYS expertise and the ability to obtain a US Secret clearance. Onsite work with a 9/80 schedule is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Structures, or Aerospace Engineering or related field with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Graduate degree with 4+ years; or 10 years of experience in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide structural design guidance and perform detailed structural analyses for RS-25 component NCRs.
• Report status and results of analysis at design reviews and prepare technical documents.
• Apply technical expertise to contribute to NCR dispositioning and program performance.
• Complete responsibilities with impact on program performance and capabilities.
• Ability to obtain a US Secret level security clearance.
