Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of New York, or ability to obtain by comity; Licensed Structural Engineer (SE) a plus.
• Master's degree in civil/structural engineering or related field.
• Minimum twenty years of relevant structural engineering industry experience, including technical and project management.
• Expertise with materials and systems: cast-in-place concrete, post-tensioned concrete, steel, wood, masonry, CMU, etc.
• Excellent technical, graphical, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Project management: client development, scoping, team assembly, schedules and budgets, deliverables.
• Technical leadership: apply engineering judgment, oversee SME work, oversee repair/retrofit projects, fieldwork training.
• Mentorship: share knowledge, develop consultants, mentor across projects and teams.
• Contributions to practice: engage in industry orgs, training, and knowledge-sharing across WJE.
