Job summary

Weston & Sampson Engineers Inc is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with 10 to 20 years of building design experience to support planning, design, management, and delivery of structural projects. You will lead design efforts, review drawings, and mentor junior staff while coordinating with clients and teams.

The role requires a PE license and the ability to obtain licenses in North Carolina and South Carolina within 6 months.

Qualifications

BS in Civil Engineering is required; MS in Civil or Structural Engineering is a plus.
10 to 20 years of structural engineering experience focused on building design.
Licensed Professional Engineer is required with the ability to become licensed in NC and SC within 6 months.

Responsibilities

Lead and support the planning, structural design, and construction administration of building projects.
Prepare and review structural drawings, calculations, reports, and design documentation.
Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, technical quality, and coordination with teams and clients.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff.
Support proposals, client development, and other business development activities.
Participate in client meetings, site visits, and travel to project sites or other offices.
