Job summary

Weston & Sampson is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with 10 to 20 years of building design experience to support the planning, design, management, and delivery of structural engineering projects.

We offer a comprehensive environment where you will lead design efforts, review calculations, manage budgets and schedules, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with clients, architects, and other engineers.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering is required; MS is a plus.
• 10 to 20 years of building design experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer; able to become licensed in NC/SC within 6 months.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and structural design standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support planning, structural design, and construction administration of building projects.
• Prepare and review drawings, calculations, reports, and cost estimates.
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and quality; coordinate with teams and clients.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff.
• Support proposals, client development, and marketing efforts.
• Attend client meetings and site visits; occasional travel.
