Job summary

Weston & Sampson is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with 10 to 20 years of building design experience to support the planning, design, management, and delivery of structural engineering projects.

The role involves leading design teams, preparing technical documents, and coordinating with clients and other disciplines. A PE license and NC/SC licensure readiness within 6 months are required, with opportunities to travel to project sites and other offices.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required.
• MS in Civil or Structural Engineering is a plus.
• Licensed Professional Engineer is required with ability to become licensed in NC/SC within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support structural design and construction administration of building projects.
• Prepare and review drawings, calculations, reports, and cost estimates.
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and coordination with teams, clients, and contractors.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff.
• Support proposals and business development activities.
