Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with precast specialization for the Twin Cities market in Minnesota. You will lead structural design from concept through construction documents and manage project delivery with architects, contractors, and owners.

The role combines hands-on design with mentorship of junior engineers, rigorous quality control, and coordination across multi-disciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient structures. PE license preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
• PE license required, or the ability to obtain reciprocity.
• 8+ years in structural design; 4+ years in precast structures.
• Proficiency with RAM, RISA, STAAD or similar.
• Strong understanding of building codes and material design standards.
• Demonstrated project management experience or interest in leading roles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design from concept through construction documents.
• Manage timelines, budgets, and coordination with architects, contractors, owners, and internal staff.
• Oversee analysis and design of precast structural systems.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Conduct site visits, review shop drawings, and provide construction-phase support.
• Prepare proposals, aid scope development, and support client relationships.
• Ensure deliverables meet internal quality standards and codes.
