Job summary

Licensed Structural Engineer (Precast Specialism) in Minneapolis, MN, is sought to lead design and delivery for diverse building projects, partnering with architects, contractors, and owners to ensure safe, buildable structures. You will balance hands-on design with mentorship of junior engineers, manage schedules and budgets, review shop drawings, and provide site support through construction.

Requirements include 8+ years in structural design, a PE license, and expertise in precast systems;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's preferred.
• PE license required or ability to obtain reciprocity.
• 8+ years of structural design experience, 4+ years in precast structures.
• Proficiency with RAM, RISA, STAAD or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and material design standards.
• Experience in leading project delivery and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design efforts for building projects from early concepts through final construction documents.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and coordination with architects, contractors, owners, and internal engineering staff.
• Oversee analysis and design of structural systems utilizing precast concrete
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Conduct site visits, review shop drawings, and provide construction-phase support.
• Prepare proposals, assist with scope development, and contribute to client relationship management.
• Ensure deliverables meet internal quality standards and industry codes.
