Job summary

BKV Group in Arlington, Virginia, seeks a Senior Structural Engineer with 10–15 years of experience to lead structural design, analysis, and documentation for multi-family, commercial, and civic projects from $10M to $250M in scope.

You will sign and seal packages, manage budgets, coordinate with architecture, MEP, and other teams, mentor junior engineers, and drive QA/QC across the project life cycle.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Civil Engineering.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 10–15 years of structural engineering design experience on complex projects.
• Proficiency with IBC, ASCE 7 and materials design standards (ACI, AISC, NDS, TMS).
• Experience with high-rise concrete/steel framing and seismic design.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (RISA, RAM, ADAPT, Enercalc, WoodWorks).

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design, analysis, and documentation for projects.
• Sign and seal engineering drawings, calculations, and specs.
• Mentor junior engineers and EITs.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with architecture, MEP, and other teams.
• Meet with clients, developers, and project owners.
