RK&K is seeking a Leader in Structural Engineering to join our Virginia team. You will spearhead our structural pursuits and projects for transportation, leveraging Virginia/VDOT and municipal experience.

The role demands proactive leadership, creative problem-solving, and hands-on bridge design and field operations. You will mentor staff, guide proposal development, and coordinate with clients while delivering design documents and construction plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering as required.
• Minimum 15 years of bridge design experience.
• Excellent communication skills including proposal development.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Virginia.

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage our structural design and engineering group across Virginia.
• Support Business Development, Marketing and Team to secure new workload.
• Prepare contract documents for construction and oversee construction administration.
• Serve as Project/Program Manager on structure-related projects.
• Produce construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates when applicable.
• Facilitate internal and client meetings, presentations and plan approvals.
• Provide QA/QC for design completeness and accuracy.
• Provide bridge inspection services as needed.
• Mentor entry-level and junior structural engineers.
