Job summary

ACS Professional Staffing is recruiting a seasoned Structural Engineer with a PE license for a Kalispell, MT-based role. You will lead design staff, work with clients and contractors, and oversee structural concepts and drawings across projects in office buildings, schools, and multifamily sites.

The position emphasizes mentorship, strong coding knowledge, and proficiency with Revit, Bluebeam, and related design tools, with travel for site visits as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience post-graduation from an accredited University.
• Structural Professional Engineer (PE) License is required.
• SE designation is a plus but not required.
• Experience with wood, steel, concrete and masonry structural systems.
• Strong understanding of building codes and value engineering practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Mentor junior staff and manage priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead structural design staff throughout project design and construction phases.
• Identify and solve problems with constructable solutions.
• Work in a multi-disciplinary team to manage development, design, and implementation of structural concepts, drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate with external suppliers, internal design teams, and manufacturers.
• Ensure structural designs meet company quality standards.
• Use software to calculate gravity, lateral, and foundation loads.
• Respond to contractors during the construction.
