Job summary

ACS Professional Staffing seeks a Structural Engineer PE for a client providing full-service engineering and architectural design solutions. This full-time position is located in Kalispell, MT.

Responsibilities include leading structural design staff, coordinating with teams and suppliers, and ensuring code-compliant, constructible designs using Revit and other software.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of post-graduate experience from an accredited university.
• PE license required; SE designation a plus.
• Experience with building structural systems using wood, steel, concrete, masonry.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and value engineering.
• Organized, able to multitask and work independently.
• Excellent written and oral communication; mentorship capability.
• Ability to prioritize strategically and adapt to long-range goals.
• Proficiency with industry standard structural design software.

This full-time position is located in Kalispell, MT.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead structural design staff throughout the project design and construction phases.
• Identify and solve problems with a goal to provide appropriate and constructable solutions.
• Work in a multi-discipline team environment to manage the development, design, and implementation of structural concepts, systems, drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate with external suppliers, internal design teams, and manufacturers.
• Ensure structural designs meet company quality standards.
• Use various software packages to calculate gravity, lateral, and foundation loads.
• Respond to contractors during the construction.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience post-graduation from an accredited university.
• Structural Professional Engineer (PE) License (SE designation a plus, but not required).
• Relevant design experience with building structural systems using wood, steel, concrete, and masonry.
• A strong understanding of building codes and value engineering practices.
• Organized and able to handle multiple tasks at a time.
• Self-starter who can work independently and be part of a team.
• Outstanding organization, attentiveness to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Work independently, managing priorities and providing mentorship to junior staff.
• Ability to prioritize strategically and demonstrate flexibility to achieve long-range goals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Bluebeam, Autodesk Revit, and industry standard structural design software. (Preferably – ENERCALC, RISA, Simpson, or Woodworks)
