LVI Associates, a well-established multidisciplinary architecture and engineering firm in North Jersey, is seeking a Structural Engineer to join its growing team. You will work on multifamily, mixed-use, and affordable housing projects across New Jersey, collaborating with architects and senior engineers to deliver projects from concept through construction.

The role offers hands-on exposure to design and analysis, with Revit/AutoCAD proficiency and experience in RAM, ETABS, or STAAD strongly

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• 0–5+ years of building structures experience.
• Strong knowledge of structural analysis and building design fundamentals.
• Experience with Revit and AutoCAD preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform structural analysis, calculations, and design for building projects.
• Support design of multifamily, mixed-use, residential, and affordable housing developments.
• Produce coordinated designs using Revit and CAD.
• Work with RAM, ETABS, STAAD, or similar software.
• Coordinate directly with architects and other engineering disciplines.
• Assist with projects from concept through construction.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

This is an opportunity to work on meaningful building projects throughout New Jersey, with a particular focus on multifamily, mixed-use, and affordable housing developments. You will work closely with architects and experienced engineers, giving you exposure to the full project lifecycle rather than being limited to one small part of the design process.

The position can be tailored around your experience. The firm is open to speaking with recent graduates, EITs, and engineers with several years of structural design experience who want greater project responsibility and a clearer path forward.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting the design of multifamily, mixed-use, residential, and affordable housing developments
• Producing coordinated design and construction documents using Revit and CAD
• Working with structural design programs such as RAM, ETABS, STAAD, or similar software
• Reviewing applicable building codes and design requirements
• Coordinating directly with architects and other engineering disciplines
• Assisting with projects from early-stage design through construction
• Helping ensure projects are delivered accurately, on time, and within budget

What They're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline
• Between 0 and 5+ years of relevant experience
• A strong understanding of structural analysis and building design fundamentals
• Experience with Revit and/or AutoCAD
• Familiarity with structural engineering software such as RAM, ETABS, STAAD, or similar
• Knowledge of applicable building codes and design standards
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• EIT certification is preferred but not essential
• Previous experience working on building structures is beneficial
