Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Lenexa team. You will lead engineers, perform analyses, and design foundations, platforms and racks for nuclear and industrial projects across North America.

Ideal candidates have 12–15 years of structural design experience, PE licensure, and strong knowledge of codes and finite element methods. Travel<25% and hybrid/alternative locations may be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, Master’s is an asset.
• PE registration in at least one state.
• 12–15 years of structural engineering design experience in nuclear, conventional power, or industrial buildings.
• 3–5 years of nuclear sector experience desired.
• Deep knowledge of mechanics of materials, structural behavior and finite element methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams of engineers and mentor junior staff.
• Perform static and dynamic analyses using engineering software.
• Design buildings, foundations, equipment platforms and pipe racks.
• Prepare quantities, cost estimates and design calculations.
• Ensure compliance with codes, QA and project change management.
