Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is seeking a professional structural engineer to join our growing team across multiple locations including Lenexa, KS and Knoxville, TN. You will contribute to design, analysis, and documentation for nuclear-related projects.

Ideal candidates have PE licensure, 5–10 years of experience in structural design, and strong communication skills to collaborate across disciplines. Travel (<25%) may be required as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Structural or Civil Engineering; PE license.
• 5–10 years structural design experience in nuclear/power/industrial sectors.
• Knowledge of North American design codes and seismic design methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform as an individual contributor under supervision from senior engineers.
• Design buildings, foundations, equipment platforms and racks.
• Prepare quantities, cost estimates, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with codes, QA procedures, and project requirements.
• Interface with designers and stakeholders for multi-disciplinary reviews.
• Provide guidance to junior staff on engineering documentation.
