Job summary

BCP Engineers & Consultants seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to support nuclear plant modernization, upgrades and new plant projects. You will lead engineering activities, perform layout and control checks, and ensure compliance with nuclear quality standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in civil engineering, 10+ years of site civil experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Travel to client sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineer License preferred.
• AutoCAD and Civil 3D proficiency.
• Experience with grading and Earthwork site design.
• Experience with stormwater drainage analysis (SSA).
• Environmental permitting knowledge (NPDES, wetlands, 404, Phase 1 ESA).
• Site layout experience (parking, access, roadways, ADA compatibility).
• Experience with Roadway / Paving design & specifications.
• Surveying knowledge (topographical, boundary, plats, coordinate systems).
• Geotechnical knowledge (sitework prep, roadway / heavy haul paving design).
• Must possess authorization to work in the USA without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design support, and permitting for civil engineering and infrastructure on nuclear upgrade projects.
• Conduct site visits to verify field work aligns with design specifications and nuclear quality requirements.
• Prepare, review, and modify engineering documents using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and related software.
• Establish and verify survey control and secondary control points for columns, walls and foundations.
• Analyze reports, maps, drawings and data to evaluate characteristics and conditions.
• Identify and implement improved methods to enhance efficiency, quality and field execution.
• Apply advanced engineering principles to resolve complex field and design challenges.
• Collaborate with project teams and other disciplines to ensure successful project execution.
