Job summary

Z Modular is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead the design and analysis of modular steel buildings. You will influence design standards, coordinate with engineers, plants, and site teams, and ensure code compliance for complex projects.

This on-site role is based in Austin, TX and other locations; requires 15+ years in steel structures, a PE license, and proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, RISA-3D, ETABS, SAP2000. Travel about 10%.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of structural design and analysis experience, focused on steel building systems.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license with multi-jurisdiction capability.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, collaboration and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural analysis and design of modular steel structures and connections.
• Develop and maintain design documentation and ensure code compliance.
• Review calculations, drawings and reports; mentor junior engineers.
• Coordinate with design teams, plants, and site personnel to ensure project alignment.
• Manage multiple projects and promote safe work practices.
