Job summary

YourCode Recruitment is partnering with an innovative construction technology and manufacturing organization to recruit a Senior Structural Engineer for its Hayward, California team. This role focuses on turning R&D and structural concepts into code-compliant, production-ready building systems for residential construction.

You will own the integration of structural systems across projects, coordinate with BIM, architectural and MEP teams, and support first-build production, with emphasis on CFS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• Approximately 5-8+ years of professional structural engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Cold-Formed Steel (CFS) or light-gauge steel framing.
• Advanced working knowledge of Autodesk Revit.
• Strong understanding of US building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, AISI S100).
• Experience producing structural calculations and packages.
• Ability to coordinate across architectural and MEP disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Integrate structural engineering solutions into residential projects while maintaining design standards.
• Lead structural validation and engineering activities per US codes.
• Prepare structural calculations and documentation.
• Develop Autodesk Revit models and fabrication-ready documentation.
• Coordinate with BIM, architectural and MEP teams to resolve clashes.
• Provide real-time engineering support during first builds and production.
