Job summary

Fleet Data Centers in Denver, CO, is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to own the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge, efficient, scalable data centers across regions. You will work as a technical expert in structural engineering with exposure to architecture and civil disciplines and a focus on sustainability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering (Master’s or PhD preferred).
• 10+ years in Structural Engineering with at least 8 years in data center design/operations.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale data center projects.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla or similar software.
• Expertise in sustainability, energy efficiency, and cost-saving measures for data centers.
• Excellent communication and ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences.
• Strong stakeholder management across engineering, product, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Create building and site structural drawings.
• Lead the design and development of structural systems for large-scale data centers.
• Provide structural design oversight throughout project lifecycles.
• Drive metrics on cost and quality and lead sustainability initiatives.
• Manage multi-site projects across global regions and ensure on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with architecture, civil, electrical, mechanical, and operations teams.
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and environmental requirements.
