Job summary

Amazon seeks an experienced Structural Engineer to design and analyze structural systems for material handling facilities in OH. You will develop calculations, BIM models, and connections for conveyors, platforms, and mezzanines, coordinating with teams to ensure safe, code-compliant implementations.

You will also perform analyses using RISA and other tools, prepare permit documents, and support field construction with site visits and computations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
• PE license in at least one US state
• 5+ years of structural engineering experience
• Experience with steel structures and connections
• Proficiency in structural FEA tools such as RISA
• Knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, and AWS D1.1 standards
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM coordination

Responsibilities

• Develop structural calculations and design documentation for material handling systems
• Coordinate BIM models, permit documents, and shop drawings
• Design structural connections and bracing for conveyors and platforms
• Perform structural analysis for equipment supports and mezzanines
• Ensure code compliance, constructability, and quality control
• Interface with vendors, fabricators, and project teams
• Conduct site visits during construction and provide field support
