Amazon is seeking an innovative and solutions-oriented Industrial Design Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of material handling systems across multiple sites. You will collaborate with internal and external teams, write technical specifications, and manage large, high-visibility programs end-to-end.

The role involves up to 50% travel, relocation considerations, and frequent interaction with senior leaders while delivering scalable, cutting-edge automation solutions.

Responsibilities

• Drive multiple large, highly complex programs through development and deployment lifecycle.
• Understand business and technical requirements across mechanical, electrical, and controls.
• Assess system-level architecture, debate tech design, and tailor communication for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Data Science Leadership to align strategy and priorities.
• Define program scope and technical/business requirements for design and field teams.
• Evaluate solutions and balance business value with technology risk.
• Build relationships with Fulfillment Center leadership and operations teams across sites.
• Present program status to Directors of Engineering and Operations.
• Transform raw ideas into clear technical documentation.
• Travel up to 50% to engage with business and technical leaders.
