Job summary

AFRY USA is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead the structural portion of multi-discipline projects, mentoring staff and delivering high-quality drawings and reports. The role emphasizes client collaboration, design excellence, and adherence to AFRY quality standards.

Responsibilities include leading project teams, budgeting, coordinating with mechanical, process, electrical, and civil disciplines, and ensuring on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering; PE license preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Structural Engineering.
• Knowledge of steel, concrete, masonry; familiarity with IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC.
• Preferred software: Revit, BIM, Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineer for projects; manage production, budget, and schedule across project stages.
• Prepare proposals and write-ups of project scope and activities.
• Establish project scope, structural budgets, and design approach; meet with clients.
• Ensure on-time project delivery; manage multidisciplinary coordination.
• Design structural systems; produce drawings, reports and studies.
• Mentor subordinate staff; visit project sites to collect data.
