Job summary

AFRY USA is seeking a Mid-Level Structural Engineer to lead design efforts for both new structures and upgrades. You will guide a team of engineers and designers, develop structural concepts, and oversee drawings, specifications, and reports for multi-discipline projects.

Applicants should have a Civil/Structural Engineering background with at least 5 years of experience, familiarity with industry codes, and proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD. PE is preferred and U.S. work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform as project lead engineer for small projects and larger projects with minimal oversight, coordinating staff to meet quality, budget, and schedule.
• Assist in preparation of proposals and write-ups of project scope and activities on past projects.
• Establish project scope, structural budgets, and design approach.
• Meet with client personnel to assist in preliminary planning and identifying design concepts.
• Work with clients to ensure projects are delivered on-time and within budget.
• Design structural systems for commercial and industrial facilities, conforming to codes and client requirements.
• Duties include structural engineering, detailing, analysis, and creating technical reports.
• Collaborate with mechanical, process, electrical, architectural, and civil disciplines.
