Job summary

DC Engineering is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer (4+ years) to join our growing team. The role offers in-office collaboration and direct interaction with project stakeholders. A P.E. or S.E. license is preferred but not required.

Ideal candidates will have strength in wood-frame buildings with exposure to concrete, steel, and masonry. You will lead teams, create drawings and calculations, and support the full project lifecycle from design through construction administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (ABET/EAC) is required.
• 4+ years of structural engineering experience.
• P.E. or S.E. license is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of structural construction drawings and calculation packages for commercial buildings.
• Interact with architects, owners, contractors, plan reviewers, and other disciplines to develop project solutions.
• Train and mentor junior staff.
• Perform structural analysis and calculations for building projects.
• Support design, permitting, bidding, and construction administration throughout the project lifecycle.
