Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Washington, D.C. is seeking an experienced structural engineer to join their Structures Division. The role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in structural analysis and design, with a focus on concrete, steel, masonry, and wood structures. Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, preparing drawings and specifications, and mentoring junior staff. This position offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including a $7,500 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural analysis and design.
• Strong knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, TMS, NDS, and other applicable standards.
• PE license or interest in obtaining SE licensure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural evaluation, design, and investigative work.
• Prepare drawings and specifications.
• Assist with mentoring junior staff.
• Interaction with clients and project management.
