Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a structural emphasis.
• 5+ years of relevant structural engineering experience; 10+ years preferred.
• Professional engineering license required.
• Familiarity with applicable building codes and standards.
• Proficiency with structural design and analysis software; AutoCAD and Revit desirable.
• Experience managing structural projects with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineer-of-record design computations and code checks for structural projects.
• Prepare structural calculations and submittal documentation for permitting agencies.
• Perform feasibility studies, layouts, and analysis; select cost-effective systems.
• Provide QA/QC and mentorship to junior staff.
• Lead development of scopes, proposals, budgets, and schedules for projects.
• Coordinate work with clients, architects, contractors, and other disciplines.
• Develop and maintain client relationships; identify opportunities for additional work.
• Provide oversight during construction to resolve structural issues.
