Job summary

NW Recruiting Partners in Seattle seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to design structural systems and lead projects across building and infrastructure facilities in the Pacific Northwest.

You will prepare calculations, drawings, and specifications, while collaborating with civil, mechanical, electrical, and architectural teams. The role involves client coordination, design reviews, and occasional site visits to verify conditions and support construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with active SE license.
• Minimum 5 years in structural design across steel, concrete, masonry, and precast.
• Proficient in RISA-3D and RAM Structural System; AutoCAD & Revit knowledge.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and client coordination.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for site visits and construction observation.
• Preferred: additional state licenses, project management experience, and knowledge of fee proposals and RFPs.

Responsibilities

• Design structural systems for building and infrastructure facility projects.
• Prepare structural calculations, specifications, construction documents, and cost estimates.
• Develop drawings and models using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Coordinate designs with multidisciplinary teams and participate in model reviews and clash detection.
• Conduct site visits, verify existing conditions, and support structural assessments and construction observations.
• Lead or support projects through design, client coordination, and construction administration.
