Job summary

RINA is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join the Onshore Structures Engineering Department. You will lead complex projects across chemical, petrochemical, and industrial sectors, guiding junior staff and coordinating with principal engineers.

A PE/SE background and design, analysis experience are required. This role offers flexibility to work from any US office (IL, TX, OH, MA) with remote options for other US locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred for advanced roles.
• Minimum 8 years of structural engineering experience.
• Illinois SE license; PE in other states a plus.
• Experience in design, analysis, and project management essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute advanced structural engineering tasks; deliver calculation reports and drawings.
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers; coordinate within multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure compliance with Quality Management System and applicable codes.
• Interface with clients and stakeholders; participate in design reviews and site visits.
• Support construction phase services and resolve on-site technical issues.
