Job summary

RINA is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join the Onshore Structures Engineering Department, serving clients in chemical, petrochemical and industrial sectors. The role may operate from any US office in IL, TX, OH, or MA, with remote options from other US locations under consideration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural engineering. Master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in structural engineering or related fields.
• Illinois Structural Engineer (SE) license. PE/SE in other states a plus.
• Experience with structural design, analysis, and project management is essential.
• Proficiency in structural calculations for pressures, loads and stresses.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute advanced structural engineering tasks including design, analysis, and verification of structural elements.
• Support development of calculation reports, specifications, and construction drawings.
• Provide day-to-day technical guidance to junior engineers and coordinate tasks within project teams.
• Interface with clients and contractors on technical aspects and participate in design reviews and site visits.
• Support site inspections and construction-phase engineering services to verify design intent.
