Job summary

Bennett & Pless Inc. in Nashville, TN seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to lead a team in designing and analyzing structural elements for manufacturing, data centers, commercial, and more. You will mentor junior staff and coordinate across disciplines to ensure quality and client satisfaction.

The role emphasizes leadership, deep technical expertise in steel, concrete, and masonry, and proficiency with Tekla, ETABS, SAFE, SAP, RAM, and related tools. Revit is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Professional Engineer license.
• 10+ years’ experience in structural engineering.
• Proficient with structural software: Tekla Structural Designer (TSD), ETABS, SAFE, SAP, RAM, RISA, EnerCalc, Adapt.
• Project management experience is required.
• Experience with steel, concrete, and masonry design; low to mid-rise structures.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and analysis of structural elements for various project types.
• Mentor and train junior and mid-level engineers.
• Coordinate disciplines to meet client expectations and Bennett & Pless quality standards.
• Oversee design calculations, construction documents, shop drawings, and RFIs.
• Provide learning oversight and professional development for the team.
