Job summary

Bennett & Pless Inc in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced Structural Engineer to lead complex projects from concept through completion. You will mentor engineers, strengthen client relationships, and expand the firm's market presence while hands-on designing steel and concrete structures.

The role requires a PE license, 10+ years of experience, and proficiency with Revit and structural analysis tools. You will oversee projects across manufacturing, industrial, commercial, education, and adaptive

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering is required.
Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
10+ years of structural engineering experience.
Experience leading projects and teams with tight schedules.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and analysis of structural systems for new construction, renovation, and adaptive reuse projects.
Manage projects and project teams, ensuring on-time delivery within codes, budgets, and QC standards.
Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, specs, and reports.
Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and partners across all design phases.
Mentor junior engineers and designers with technical guidance and reviews.
