Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our water and infrastructure practice. You will lead and independently manage large, high-complexity structural projects from concept through construction, guiding a team of engineers and designers to deliver robust, code-compliant solutions.

In this role you will develop designs, create 3D models, coordinate drawings and specifications, and ensure on-time delivery with high-quality client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer is preferred (Virginia).
• Minimum seven years of related experience in structural engineering.

Responsibilities

• Represent Stantec with clients, partners, and consultants.
• Lead large, high-complexity projects.
• Lead a team responsible for evaluating and engineering structural systems.
• Develop designs through sketches, 3D models, diagrams, and drawings.
• Prepare and revise documentation across structural phases.
• Coordinate project meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to cost estimation and proposals.
• Oversee multiple projects and mentor junior staff.
