Job summary

Bowman seeks a senior civil/structural engineer to lead strategic guidance on large-scale projects in the energy sector. You will oversee design, planning, and execution, driving innovation while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities include design reviews, estimating, scoping, and progress reporting. Requires a Bachelor’s in structural/civil engineering, 5+ years of experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in structural/civil engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in civil engineering projects.
• PE licensure preferred and beneficial for advancement.
• Deep knowledge of civil engineering principles and energy sector applications.
• Proficiency with civil engineering software/tools.
• Understanding of environmental and sustainability concerns.
• Strong familiarity with codes, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform building sizing, analyses, and related deliverables.
• Support engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
• Present engineering and design deliverables to project teams and clients.
• Plan, forecast, and track deliverable progress for reporting and scheduling.
• Identify scope changes and estimate their impact on effort and schedule.
• Work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Prepare and review foundation, structural, building, and earthwork calculations and BOMs.
