Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) in Washington, DC, is seeking an experienced Building Structural Engineer to join as Technical Lead. You will lead a multidisciplinary team and oversee the structural design from framing plans through construction documents for commercial, municipal, state and federal projects.

Responsibilities include coordinating with clients, preparing reports, performing design calculations, developing Revit models, and ensuring quality, scope and schedule.

Qualifications

• ABET BS in engineering (AC or ABET-accredited) is required.
• Professional Engineer license.
• 10+ years of building/facility structural experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural team to perform framing layout, design calculations, and detailing for reports and construction documents.
• Develop construction documents using Revit.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Lead and mentor engineers to grow their skills and manage project scope.
