Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) is seeking a talented structural engineer in Allentown, PA to design a range of building and facility projects for public and private clients across the East Coast. The role involves taking projects from framing layout through construction administration with strong teamwork and self-motivation.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program, a PE license, and at least 4 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
• PE License or ability to obtain.
• 4+ years’ experience in building/facility structural engineering.
• Proficient in design codes, references and software for structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and timber.

Responsibilities

• Work within a multidiscipline design team and perform structural engineering efforts to support the team.
• Perform structural framing layout, design calculations, and detailing for reports and construction documents.
• Develop construction documents using Revit software.
• Design projects per client specs and guidelines using design software and drawing tools.
• Prepare engineering documents for advertisement and construction.
• Coordinate with internal and external team members to meet deadlines and quality standards.
