Job summary

IMEG is seeking a Senior Engineer in Rock Island, IL to lead design and analysis for major infrastructure projects, focusing on bridges, retaining walls, culverts and related structures. Required BS in Civil/Structural Engineering with PE license; MS preferred and 14+ years in building design consulting.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent is required.
• PE license is required.
• MS in Structural Engineering is preferred.
• 14+ years of experience in the building design consulting industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply civil and structural engineering principles to design and analysis of large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Support structural design for bridges and other infrastructure, including calculations, detailing, and documentation.
• Develop design criteria, technical reports, construction plans, and specifications, and perform quality assurance reviews.
• Perform in-process design reviews to ensure adherence to quality standards, codes, and client expectations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project solutions.
• Conduct field inspections to verify construction compliance with design documents.
• Monitor project progress, review schedules, and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
• Engage with clients to gather project requirements, present technical information, and maintain relationships.
• Provide mentoring and training to junior staff and assist in field issues.
• Stay informed on industry trends and contribute to internal R&D initiatives.
• Ensure safety regulations and codes are followed.
• Participate in project interviews and client engagement efforts.
