Job summary

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process design reviews to ensure adherence to quality standards, codes, and client expectations.

IMEG is hiring a Senior Engineer in Rock Island, Illinois to support infrastructure services including transportation, water/wastewater, and construction engineering, with a focus on structural design and detailing for bridges, retaining walls, culverts, and similar structures. In this role, you will lead design efforts on moderate to complex projects and independently contribute to high-complexity assignments with minimal oversight. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver effective engineering solutions, while helping manage project budgets, mentoring junior staff, and supporting training initiatives. Education / Experience

• Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or equivalent, required
• Professional Engineer (PE) License required
• Master’s Degree (MS) in Structural Engineering preferred
• 14 years of experience minimum required, 16 preferred, in the building design consulting industry
• Experience with hydraulic design for bridges and roadway design preferred and MicroStation and/or AutoCAD

State of Illinois Salary Range: $101,000–$145,000 per year

The range listed above represents the base pay IMEG reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position in the work location identified above at the time of posting. For positions available in multiple locations, the minimums and maximums may vary based on work location. Individual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, abilities, and licensure and certifications.
