Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking a full-time Structural Engineer to join our Springfield, IL team (also open to Bolingbrook or Rock Island). You will design and detail bridge structures, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and engage with clients to deliver projects on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil or Structural Engineering degree, 5+ years of experience, and an Illinois SE license or plan to obtain within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• 5+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Illinois SE license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Structural design and detailing for bridge projects.
• Collaborate with planning, design and construction teams; potential to lead projects.
• Client contact including verbal and written communication.
• Complete projects on time and within budget.
• Periodic on-site construction observation.
