Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting is seeking a Structural Engineer IV to join our Facilities Engineering group in the Pittsburgh, PA area. This senior role leads project engineering efforts, develops innovative solutions, and oversees drawings, specifications, and calculations while mentoring junior staff.

The position requires ABET-accredited degree and 5+ years of experience; PE preferred, EIT required. Knowledge of AutoCAD, Navisworks, Civil 3D, and RISA is beneficial.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years of structural engineering experience.
• PE preferred, EIT required.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex structural design and analysis tasks per codes.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and oversee multi-disciplinary teams.
• Prepare and review drawings, specs, and calculations.
• Serve as project engineer, managing scope and budget.
• Attend client meetings as SME and present technical approaches.
